Go to School: Watching your partner's putt and learning from it the line and pace that your putt should have.
Good-Good: Reciprocal concession of short putts. (See gimme.)
Grain: Tendency of grass leaves to lie horizontally toward the sun.

Go to School: To study the travel of a previous putt to 'read' the green.
Gorse: A many-branched spiny shrub having bright yellow flowers, common on waste lands and links style golf courses.

Go To School : To learn from another players shot. Most commonly associated with putting and specifically seeing how a putt on a similar line to your own will break or run.

Go to School
To learn how a putt will break by watching another player's putt along approximately the same line.
Gobble ...

go to school: To study as a player putts, hoping to learn about the line and pace to aid your own putting aim.
grain: The angle the grass grows.
Grand Slam: The four major championships: Masters, US Open, British Open and PGA Championship.

After a few sporadic lessons locally, my wife and I decided to "go to school." In our third year of playing, we went to a John Jacobs golf school in Tucson, for a week.
