Halved
In match play, a hole is halved (drawn) when both players or teams have played the same number of strokes.

halved-- A golf match that ends in a tie. Typically both teams will split the points normally awarded to the match winner. A hole may also be halved when each team finishes it with the same score.

Therefore, in match play the hole is halved; in stroke play both have played a "net" bogey (one over par). If both play five strokes, A has played better by one "net" stroke.

If each player/team completes a hole in an equal number of strokes, the score for that hole is halved. If a player/team wins the majority of the holes on the course, it may not be necessary to complete all eighteen holes.

"Press" also means to double the bet on the 9-hole section of a Nassau after becoming 2 down or, according to other interpretations, to begin another match for a halved stake when a bad start has been made and winning the original bet is unlikely.
