Hole High: A ball that is even with the hole but off to one side.
Hole Out: To complete the play for one hole by hitting the ball into the cup.
Hole-In-One: Getting the ball from the tee and into the hole with one shot. Also called an ace.

hole high-- A golf shot hit a distance roughly equivalent to where the hole on the green is but off to the left or right.
hole in one-- A golf hole completed in one stroke. Also known as an ace.

hole high A ball on the green which is positioned beyond the hole (relative to the tee box).
hole in one See "ace".
hole out To complete a hole by hitting the ball into the hole.

Hole High: Means that the ball has landed on the green level with the hole as you are looking at it.

Hole High : When the ball has traveled the correct distance and is even with the hole but off to one side (regardless of whether or not it's on the green). Example: Terry's approach shot was hole high but well to the right.

Hole High
Descriptive of a ball that is at the same distance from the tee as the hole, but off to one side.
Hole in One ...

HOLE HIGH - an approach shot which is even with the hole but off to one side.
HOLE-IN-ONE - see ACE above.
HOLE OUT - the process of a player completing the hole.

Pin-high: See hole high.
Pin-Placement: The location of the hole on the green.
Pitch: A short, high approach shot. Doesn't run much on landing.

pin-high: As hole high; term used when ball is level with the hole.
pitch: A short, high approach shot.
pitch and putt: A short course, mainly of par3 holes.
pivot: The winding action of the body.

To simplify this to an intuitive, integrated version without the numbers and the math, walk from your ball to a corresponding distance hole high and imagine how the putt from hole high would break below the hole.
