Hole in One/ Ace - A hole in one is exactly what its name implies; the (very rare!) feat of putting the ball into a hole in a single stroke.
Hook - A badly played shot which curves slightly to the left.

Hook: A shot that curves dramatically from right to left for a right-handed player, or left to right for a left-handed player. A hook is never intentional and curves much more than a draw.

To get a birdie in golf it means you’ve just got the golf ball in the hole in one stroke less than par. Since lower scores are the goal in golf, achieving a golf birdie is excellent. The term comes from the English usage of “bird'.

But I still have the memory of that hole in one, and of countless other shots that I've been able to hit into or near the hole because of an ability to apply extra backspin.

DEUCE - hmmm, now lets see, if an ace is a hole in one, then a deuce must be a hole in two! That's right Sherlock! It is a score of 2 on a hole! ...

If your first ball counts, you might have just scored a hole in one, or perhaps even a double-eagle. If your second ball counts, you are likely bogeying, at best.

Do you realize that this would take a hole in one on a par 4 or only two shots to the cup on a par five. Of course you can't even get one of these on a par three because you would have to sink in on zero strokes.

A birdie is a score on any one hole that is one stroke less than par, and an eagle is a score on a hole that is two less than par. A hole in one is scored when the player drives the ball into the hole with only one stroke.

If you're expecting that you could/should make a shot, take that as a pat on your back. You don't ever expect yourself to make a hole in one, but if you did, you'd have to be one great golfer to expect such things of yourself.
