The investment casting process used to produce irons, putters, and metal woods that initially involves making a master model of the club head. A mold is then made from this master. Wax is injected into these molds forming a duplicate of the club head.
Investment casting - introduction of molten metal into ceramic shells. Irons - Any one of a number of clubs with a head made of iron, steel or some other metal alloy and are generally used to hit at the green.
