Juice

Golf JiggerJungle

Juice : When a ball is hit into the green and rolls in a direction other than that in which it was flying. Example: John's hit his wedge a good ten yards past the pin but the juice on the ball pulled it back to within three feet of the pin.

backspin (also sometimes called "juice") reverse rotation on the ball
Example: A ball that is struck below it's equator with a lofted club will usually have backspin.

Some balls fitting that description include the Nike Juice, Pinnacle Platinum Feel, Titleist DT Carry & Roll and Top-Flite Gamer (a three-piece ball that offers the same benefits as its two-piece counterparts).

After a while you'll know by the feel of the hit whether you've put "juice" on the ball. It's a great feeling and a great sight to see the ball land past the pin and come back close to the hole.

I prefer opening my stance up wide open, with the hands forward of the front foot, and then swinging down through the ball. I tend to get enough juice on my pitch shots using a 54 degree wedge to stop the ball from rolling once it hits the green.

Golf carts always run out of juice at the farthest point from the clubhouse.
A golfer hitting into your group will always be anyone in your group.

Today, balls arriving with drop speeds of 1-3 rps have plenty of juice to overcome all problems (1 rps being good enough on fine greens and 3 being good enough on poor greens today).
