Paddle

Paddle Grip: A putting grip with a flat surface where the thumbs rest. (Ben Crenshaw's old putter had a paddle grip).

In the photos at left, you clearly can see the red side of the paddle with both my thumbs pointing down toward the ground. This type of movement will slow the closing of your clubface, thus eliminating shots that curve to the left.

First off, do not use a golf club to train with. Instead use a tennis racquet, ping pong paddle, or anything that is racquet-like. The face of the racquet emulates the clubface, but on a much larger scale, so it is easier to monitor.

To get the feeling, pretend you are making a swing with a base ball bat, tennis racket, ping pong paddle etc...just try to make a swing with the arms with out rotating the body to start the swing. Do you think the golf swing is any different.
