Pick up
When a golfer picks up his/her ball before getting it in the hole. In stroke play this will mean that the golfer is disqualified and in match play this looses the golfer the hole.

If you bend forward to pick up something on the ground, your center of gravity changes by moving forward from between your hips and actually relocates outside your body.

pick up-- To "pick up" a ball while it is in play and not continue the golf hole. This can result in disqualification in stroke play, or the loss of the hole in match play.

Pick Up: To take up one's ball before holing out. In match play this concedes the hole or in stroke play incurs disqualification.
Pigeon: A golfer that you should defeat in a game.
Pill: Nickname for the ball.

pick up Term to describe when a golfer has hit his or her maximum number of strokes under Equitable Stroke Control and does not complete the hole.

Considering the bombardment of media hype on golf equipment enabling players to pick up unbelievable amounts of distance, I thought we might take a moment to look at the real math behind some of the claims.

Try not to pick up the club steeply with the wrists.

This is the only format in which the winner is the player who gets the higher score. It is a faster format and it allows to pick up the ball.
