Pop up

pop up-- A high, short hot.
pot bunker-- A small, cavernous sand trap that is difficult to hit out of.

Pop up - A high shot over a very short distance.
Pull - When the ball flies in an inward direction after being struck. Not the same as draw/hook as these are shots affected by spin.

By having stronger and more flexible hip flexors, the body is more prone to rotate through the shot and not pop up, causing the arms to overswing and try to lift the ball into the air.

Follow through and finish high. The more open the face, the higher the ball will pop up. With practice the normal bunker shot can become one of your most consistent stroke saving shots.

If you hit down, the ball will pop up in the air. Ball position is critical. Play the ball opposite your front foot which will encourage a sweeping blow.
