rap-- To firmly strike a putt or other golf shot. reading the green-- Examining a green to determine the force and direction to putt the golf ball.
Rap: To firmly hit a putt. Reading the Green: Determining the path which the ball will take on its way to the hole by analyzing the contour and texture of the green.
Rap: To hit a putt firmly. Read the Green: To assess the path on which a putt must travel to the hole. Regular: A shaft with normal flex.
RAP RANGE BALL Type of ball used at a driving range facility. The balls may be used balls or may be specially made, difficult-to-cut balls purchased by upscale ranges for durability.
Rap: To hit a putt with a short, firm stroke. (Former PGA Champion Gene Sarazen liked to rap his putts).
That's a bad rap. I admit that I play an aggressive shot now and then, but so does everyone. The fact is, my 'boldness' is simply a reflection of the confidence I have in my game, based upon experience, practice, and a knowledge of what I can do.
I'm here to say that in most instances, the right side is getting a bad rap. In reality, it's the biggest asset most golfers have! Among right-handed players, it provides most of the power.
Simply align yourself to the imaginary hole and rap it in the back of the 'cup' with a solid, aggressive stroke and a little extra speed. The putt should hold its line and pour into the center of the real hole.
Your objective will not be to get under the ball, but rather to rap the back of the ball - just as though you're punching the ball under a low-hanging tree branch.
Rap a rag around the shaft and clamp the putter horizontally in the vice (gently, just enough to hold it), face straight up and down, Place a level on the face and turn the putter back and forth until the face is perfectly vertical.
