Rubber-Core Ball: The golf ball that revolutionised the game at the turn of the twentieth century. Also known as the Haskell ball.

 


Rubber-Core Ball
Introduced in 1898, the rubber core ball consisted of a solid rubber center around which was wound elastic thread under tension. The cover was made from gutta-percha.
