One might think, from the promotional blurb, that Oliff discovered some 'short cut' or 'incredibly simple swing tip' like the ones touted in infomercials. But his "secret"? I'll let him tell it, in the following excerpts from his book.
You are not going to be taking any short cuts through the proper coaching, BECAUSE THERE ARE NONE. Everything is designed to add twenty to thirty yards further on your golf driving. But it has it's downside.
An instructor should evaluate your swing and work on the fundamentals. That may take a summer, instead of an afternoon, but the results will last. Short cuts may seem to help temporarily, but they can destroy some of the good things that you do.
