Shotmaker: A player who has the ability to play a great many different shots.
Side: Can mean the first 9 holes (front side) or the last 9 (back side) of an 18 hole course. Also two or more players who are partners.

shotmaker-- A golfer who is able to execute several different types of golf shots.
shotmaking-- The act of hitting a variety of different types of golf shots; especially by executing them skillfully.

I learnt it from the game's finest shotmaker, Seve Ballesteros. It's played from the same address position as a basic bunker shot: open stance, open, laid-back clubface, ball positioned off the left instep.
