The best position to stand when a player is addressing the golf ball would be to the other side, opposite of his golfer's arm extension. You should be standing far enough back to see the club head and golf ball of the player addressing the ball.

Pick out a hole that is on the other side of the green (approx. 50 feet) and hit all 3 balls to this hole. DO NOT try to make the putt, just try to get it close to the hole. Once you have hit all 3 balls walk up to them and try to knock them in.
