A skins game is a golf event in which players compete for prize money on each individual hole.

In a skins game scoring is conducted by the holes won. If a hole is not won, then the value or points from that hole carry forward to the next hole, and so on.

A skins game pits players in a type of match play in which each hole has a set value (usually in money or points). The player who wins the hole is said to win the "skin," and whatever that skin is worth.

The 2007 TELUS Skins Game will bring the 'world' to one of Ontario's widely acclaimed new golf courses, marking the first time the event has been played in the province since 2003.

Skins : A type of competition or wager format where only a uniquely low score can win a hole (each hole in this type of a competition is known as a skin). Example: In a skins game to win a hole one must be the only one with the lowest score.
