The initial Solheim Cup is played at Lake Nona G.C., Orlando, commencing a biennial USA vs. Europe competition for women, a recognition of the growing strength of women's golf on both sides of the Atlantic.
Pettersen, the youngest ever European Solheim Cupper at just 21, formed a great partnership with Helen Alfredsson and was an absolute superstar in her singles against Michel Redman.
It also has an event analogous to the Ryder Cup, the Solheim Cup. The U.S.
Mike coaches golfers of all levels, including players on the PGA and LPGA Tours who have a combined total of 40 worldwide wins and 9 Major Championships. Mike is proud to have coached five players on the victorious 12-member 2002 Solheim Cup team.
