Stableford is an uncommonly used scoring system in golf. It involves scoring points based on results at each hole.

Stableford in the Rule Book
Stableford Competitions are addressed in the Rules of Golf under Rule 32. Stableford is a form of stroke play and, with few exceptions, the rules for stroke play apply.

Stableford Scoring
The Stableford system of scoring was introduced by Dr. Frank Stableford, of Liverpool, England, in 1932. The system uses points for scoring rounds or competitions.
