starter-- Golf course employee (or tournament official) located near the first tee that groups players together and tells them when and where to tee off.

For starters, you have to get out to the course more often. You can still play in corporate events but you have to do so with a new attitude. You have to quit trying to be the hero and start actually helping your team.

Many clubs have also been awarded 'Starter Status' by the Golf Foundation (the national body for the development of junior golf) meaning that they provide special tuition with youngsters in mind.

Well, for starters every lesson you take will end with the familiar refrain: "Practice that shot until the next lesson." So that's one way. Every intstruction book and every general golf magazine you read will inundate you with "tips" to practice.

So what can you do to correct it? Well, for starters, try to learn to keep your leading shoulder strong. Keep that shoulder "Down" on the ball all the way through impact, even after the ball is gone and flying straight down the fairway.

If you haven't been exercising for 3 months or more, I would strongly recommend picking a goal of 2 times a week for starters. As you prove to yourself you can do this, then bump it up to 3 or more times a week.
