Whatever the tournament's long range impact, by the last scene it's clear we have seen more than just another golf tournament dramatized. We have been entertained by a slice of real Americana circa 1913.

Watch good players and tournaments. People learn by imitation. When a husband and wife come to me, they often have very similar swings. They've imitated each other unconsciously.
Don't watch struggling players. You don't want to imitate their swings.

Recently after shooting a tournament record 63, Meg Mallon was asked what accounted for her performance. Without blinking an eye she noted her putting, recalling exactly the number of putts in the 63 and in her prior round.

The practice area is the first place any pro golfer goes to before heading to the first tee in a tournament. You too should develop this routine. Remember, the practice area isn't a place to worry too much about how you're striking the ball.
