Disposal Field - Constructed in the soil, where sewage effluent is dispersed through a series of excavated trenches (see Disposal Field Trenches), so that it will soak or perk into the soil for disposal.

An underground box that receives waste from a septic tank and distributes it to the laterals of a disposal field.

A land area containing a series of subterranean perforated pipes that allow septic tank effluent to percolate into the soil; also called Disposal Field.
