Making your own drapes or curtains is easier than you think. Here are several ideas and step-by-step instructions to make window coverings.

If you decide to purchase new blinds and drapes, consider recent models with safety break-away cords. You don't have to buy floor-length drapes. Mini blinds or roller shades are also good options.
