Eaves are the horizontal section of a roof that extends beyond the outside wall of a structure. The sloped connection between a gable or shed roof and an exterior wall is called a rake. Building eaves provide protection to buildings.
Eaves damage typically is caused by faulty gutters and deteriorated roofing. Eaves repairs require a good working platform (scaffolding is ideal) and an assistant.

The best place to start is up on the eaves because the soffit should be finished before the wall panels go on, that way you get a nice even fit between the J-channel that holds the soffit panels and the utility trim that holds the top vinyl panel.

152' divided by 3.2760' = about 47 shingles or 3 bundles.
Attic eaves offer good "low" storage possibilities. Depending on the size of the eave, you can have pull-out storage bins on floor rollers or cabinet doors covering simple shelves, etc. Drawing shows a pull out bed on rollers.
The sheaves are then stood up in little tipis, or shocks, with one sheaf spread out on top, to shelter the grain from dew and any rain.

At the eaves, make sure the insulation does NOT close off the opening between the rafters that allow the air to flow up from the eave (soffit) vents. If you are blowing in insulation or packing the batts in tight there, buy prop vents.
At the eaves, use a polystyrene baffle such as Owens Corning Raft-R-Mate (owenscorning .com). These panels prevent insulation from blocking soffit vents, and allow air to flow up from the eaves and out of a ridge or gable vent.

Mildews appear most often on eaves, decks, and porch ceilings. North-facing walls and those shaded by foundation plantings, trees and other obstructions that restrict sunlight and airflow are also candidates.
