Grid interactive power systems can be used to supply electricity to a business or a home. Grid interactive power is no different to normal grid connected power except that you have solar panels on the roof.

Electricity in the US is measured in kilowatts. A kilowatt costs about .06 US dollars (USD) per hour. Rates can be different depending upon where you live, and on your total electricity usage for the month.

Electricity is the movement of electrons from an area of higher potential to one of lower potential. An analogy to how electricity flows would be the flow of water along the path of least resistance or down a hill.

Here are a couple of tips to cut the electricity usage. Cover the water bed with a one-thick piece of foam under the sheet. You will still have the water support through it. The foam piece insulates the water bed to reduce heat loss.

One of the easiest ways to save electricity is to use energy efficient lighting. It can reduce lighting consumption by up to 50% - 75% in an average household. Using other equipment such as lighting controls can also further cut energy consumption.

2) Shut off gas/electricity and water
