If water is spilled on the area rug, blot it up immediately and use a hair drier (on a warm setting) to dry both side of the rug. If a colored liquid is spilled on the rug, blot the excess up immediately and cover the spot with salt or baking soda.
Try removing dried paint splatters from wood furniture that has a varnish finish and been waxed by running a hair drier at the low heat setting . Keep moving the hair dryer all over the area for about 20 seconds.
Dry chair as fast as possible by putting in the hot sun, using hair drier, or directing a fan onto it to keep air circulating. A windy day is good to aid drying.
