Jamb extensions are wood strips nailed to the inside edge of the jambs to make up the difference in depth between jamb and wall. They are added after installing the window.
A jamb liner is a strip which goes on the inside of a window frame to provide a snug fit for the window. Jamb liners can be built into a window frame, or they can be added or replaced later.

Each side jamb and the center anchor pad should extend 12" above the top of the opening for 12" radius horizontal track and 15" above the top of the opening for 15" radius horizontal track.
Screw the jamb bracket to the side of the opening. The bracket supports the pivot guide on the bottom of the door.

Attach the hinges after laying the doors facedown on a flat, clean surface. Each pair of doors gets three hinges.
Plumb the jamb. Pull diagonal measurements off the jamb corners to square and plumb the jamb, shimming the upper corners as needed. Then hold the window in place by nailing just the two corners of the top flange from the outside.

Once you get the jamb aligned put shims between the jamb and stud opening, being careful not to bow the jamb into the opening. If need be use a straight edge to keep it straight.
Step 2 - Separate jamb halves and remove all shipping nails that hold door and jamb together. Insert into opening the jamb half with door installed. With the aid of a helper center and plumb door unit in opening.

There was a 1/4" gap between the door and the jamb so anyone walking by could see into the bathroom, and secondly, the door latch barely catch the strike on the jamb so the slightest bump could open the door even if it were locked.
After this, the cutting of the jamb extension can be done by ripping strips of 3/4-inch stock to the desired thickness for a full-length head-jamb extension, gluing and nailing it to ensure 1/16 to 1/8-inch of the head jamb is exposed.
With the door in its proper position in the rough opening and with the wedge shims inserted for snug fit, a pilot hole is drilled (along the middle length of door frame) right through the jamb and the wedge shims into the rough opening framework.
