Overhangs and Zoning Ordinances
Overhangs may be inappropriate for sites with restrictive regulatory guidelines. For example, your calculations indicate your house needs a three foot (~1 meter[m]) overhang on the front.
Overhangs.
Make overhangs wide enough to shelter patio furniture. Beware, though, of robbing adjacent interior rooms of light.
Overhanging trees
Overhanging trees or brushing on a roof are not a defect unless they are actually causing damage. If leaves are lying on the roof, they may be causing moisture damage to the roof sheathing.
