We all know the level of details that CG artists are able to achieve today with sophisticated 3D softwares and renderers.

Color rendering, expressed as a rating from 0 to 100 on the Color Rendering Index (CRI), describes how a light source makes the color of an object appear to human eyes and how well subtle variations in color shades are revealed.

rendering (crépi, m.) The surface treatment of a concrete or masonry wall to improve its appearance or increase its resistance to water penetration.

Color Rendering Index (CRI)
An international system used to rate a lamp's ability to render object colors. The higher the CRI (based upon a 0-100 scale) the richer colors generally appear.
