Seepage pit is a sewage disposal system comprised of a septic tank and connected cesspool.
Septic tank is a large sewage disposal tank where a continuous flow of waste material is decomposed by bacteria.

SEEPAGE PIT - A septic tank and cesspool making up a system for sewage disposal.
SEPTIC TANK - A tank in which sewage settles to the bottom where part of it is destroyed by bacteria and the rest is discharged to a leaching bed.

Seepage Pit - A sewage disposal system composed of a septic tank and a connected cesspool.

SEEPAGE PIT: A pit in which sewage drains from a septic tank, and which is so constructed that the liquid waste seeps through the sides of the pit into the ground.

Cesspools and seepage pits: Use 1/2 gallon for the first treatment, then 1 cup (8oz.) every 2 weeks per pit.
