Terrace gardens come in all shapes, forms, and designs, from urban rooftop gardens to secluded suburban patio hideaways. The one thing all these gardens have in common is making the most of limited space with innovative garden and landscaping design.

Terraces can create several mini-gardens in your backyard. On steep slopes, terracing can make planting a garden possible. Terraces prevent erosion by shortening the long slope into a series of shorter, more level steps.
