verge board (bordure de pignon, f.) The board under the edge of gables, sometimes moulded. Also called barge board. See also facer board.

 


Verge Boards - Boards attached at the verge of a roof line.
Vermiculite - An aggregate somewhat similar to perlite that is used as an aggregate in lightweight roof decks and deck fills.

VERGEBOARD: The board that serves as the eaves finish on the gable end of a building.

Verge - The overhanging edge of a roof or gable.
Verification Method - A method by which building work may be verified for compliance with the Building Code. Verification Methods can include calculations, laboratory tests or tests in-situ.

Verges:
The slates fitted to the verge (the end of a gable) should alternately be 1½ wide (i.e. 50% wider than the rest), this ensures that the pattern is maintained without having to cut down and use half width slates at the verges.

Verge of Popcorn Texture: A rough surface texture of Sprayed Polyurethane Foam generally considered unsuitable to receive a base coating.
