While some people may elect to take wainscoting on as a DIY project, there are several challenging elements for proper installation. First, most likely your floor isn't plumb and isn't at an exact right angle to the wall.

Wainscoting is the wooden-slatted sections that can be added to the lower parts of walls to create texture. Wainscoted sections typically reach almost half way up a wall, with the edge being a crown molding topper called a chair rail.

Because wainscoting beadboard is relatively light and insubstantial, it is tempting to nail it into the wallboard, bypassing the more arduous step of nailing into the studs.
Be sure to use construction glue to hold the wainscoting to the drywall.

This is to include all wainscoting, window ledges, and other panels such as doors.
The countertops and sinks should be cleaned perfectly and left spotless during the post construction clean. Ready for you to brush your teeth in upon move in.

I prefer drywall because it gives you the most flexibility and doesn't scream "finished basement" the way paneling does. Plus, you can always apply bead-board wainscoting, faux finishes, wallpaper, or other treatments over drywall at a later date.

that's the most appropriate option for your home and budget. This can also be an opportune time to consider new doors or hardware, shutters, gutters or window trim to complete the look. Suppliers can add optional columns and decorative wainscoting.

Steep roof pitches, and complex roof systems make the home quite time consuming to frame and more complex to shingle; not to mention the cost of building several sculpted chimneys, the stucco and wood trim and brick wainscoting.
