- Cruzado - The Cruzado horse was developed in Germany and has an established herdbook. Next to nothing is known about this breed, but they are critically endangered and there are an estimated seventeen of these horses left in the world.
This means that cruzados, or mongrels, are being ridden in the bullrings instead, but they are often able to excel nearly as well. A cruzado may be a crossbreed, but it could also be a true Lusitano whose pedigree is incomplete or unregistered.
