East Bulgarian description
The modern East Bulgarian breed of horse is caracterized by good conformation, robust constitution, a nice exterior, and free movements. The head is light and elegant with straight profile and large, lively eyes.

East Bulgarian Horse
The East Bulgarian is a light riding and draft horse, usually chestnut, bay or black. They have originated since 1900 from Thoroughbred and English Halfbred crossed with Anglo-Arabian, Arabian and Bulgarian Native horses.

The East Bulgarian Horse is common throughout Eastern Europe, although not so well known in the rest of the world. However, they are starting to make a name for themselves in a number of equestrian sports, including dressage & show jumping.
