Grulla, Grullo or Blue Dun: A black horse with the dun gene. Coat is solid "mouse-colored" gray or silver with black or dark gray dun factors.
Red dun: A chestnut base coat with dun factors.

Megrel - bay and nearly black

Colonial Spanish Horses come in a full range of solid colors including black, bay, brown, chestnut, sorrel, grullo, zebra and red dun, buckskin, palomino, and cream.

The Kiger horses are mostly of dun coloration with dun, grullo ( mouse gray ), red dun and claybank the most common colors. Kigers also can be found in bay and black.

Some horses with a particular type of dun hair coat known as a "blue dun," grullo, or grulla, appear to be a solid gray.

They are always primitive colors: dun with a dorsal stripe, a dark palomino, or grullo. Grullo is a slate gray with brown tinge and a darker head and legs. These ponies usually do not exceed 13 hands high.

The AQHA recognizes the following colors: Bay, Sorrel, Red Dun, Palomino, Black, Chestnut, Grullo, Gray, Brown, Dun, Buckskin, Red Roam, Blue Roan (13 total).

Each Paint Horse has a particular combination of white and any color of the equine spectrum: black, bay, brown, chestnut, dun, grullo, sorrel, palomino, buckskin, gray or roan.

It comes in two colors, either dun or grullo. They have a dark face, black dorsal stripe and black tipped ears. Sometime they have zebra stripes on their legs or shoulders. Their mane and tail are dark black with shades of white.

Grullo - Dun with a black face. Dun factor on a black base coat.
Pinto A pinto is a multi colored horse with large patches of brown white and/or black and white. Piebald is black and white, while Skewbald is white and any other color except black.
