Kiger Mustangs have primitive dun factor coloration and markings. Dun factor horses are most commonly identified as duns and grullas.
The Kiger Mustang has small and curved ears. Its neck is arched and muscular. The withers are long and rather pronounced. The body is short, too, with a narrow chest and a low-set tail. The shoulders are well formed and well muscled.
The Kiger mustang doesn't come from North America originally, but it's history begins in the Pacific Northwest of the United States in a remote area of Oregon.

The Kiger mustang herd is rounded up every four years and the excess horses are put up for adoption. The last round up was in 'October '99. The top selling horse there was a four month old filly that sold for $19,000.

Most Mustang horse are Spanish descent so they exhibit the Spanish characteristics. Some herds of the horses are found in isolated areas that have strong Spanish descent including Kiger Mustang and Cerat Mustang.
