The Mongolian horse is one of the most important and numerous breeds found among the indigenous horse breeds of China.

The Mongolian horse (mongolian Мор, mor) is the favourite animal of the Mongols, and not only because Genghis Khan conquered half the world with its help.

The Mongolians have always been known for their horse culture & their wide spread invasions carried bloodlines wide & far.

The Mongolian is one of the most antique of all pony types. Its influenceis apparent in breeds throughout Asia and its extent is due to the nomadicand warlike habits of the Mongols, who took vast herds of ponies on theirtravels as a remuda.

The Mongolian wild horse (Equus przewalskii Poljakow) is the only wild horse recognized by all zoologists as a pure wild form in the zoological sense. This has led to the theory that is the ancestor to all our domestic horses.

The Mongolian horse is found in the high plains and highland areas of northern China and Mongolia.

The Chinese Mongolian may not be the most expensive or elegant breed in the world, but it surely has made its mark on history, developing into a strong, determined horse.

Like many other nations, Mongolia has its own horse breed to be proud about. Their native breed is simply called the Mongolian horse.

The most important and most numbered breed of horses within China, the Mongolian is used mostly for carting and riding, but also for meat and milk production.

In addition to the Mongolian horse, it is known that some Indian stock were taken to Indonesia (although it is unknown exactly which breeds), and the Dutch also brought various eastern breeds to the country during the 18th century.

Compared to horses of similar type and Mongolian origin, the Yakut is larger and more massive.

The Przewalski Horse (Equus przewalskii Poliakov) or Takhi as the Mongolians name them is rather small, sturdy animal with a short, strong neck.

The Przewalski horse (Equus przewalski poliakov) is the last remaining wild species of horses.

Since then, it has largely replaced the Old Kirghiz breed, which had descened mainly from Mongolian stock in the high mountains of Kirghizia and Kazakhstan.

During the Korya dynasty (1276-1376), Mongolians governed Cheju and introduced their horses to the island. One record shows that 160 breeding horses were brought from Mongolia to Cheju and used for improving the native ponies.

Breeding the large, heavy war horses of northern Europe with the lighter, faster and fiery tempered hot bloods from the Mongolian steppes created horse breeds that combine the quickness and agility of race horses with the larger build and milder ...

It's believed to be descended from the Mongolian Wild Horse (Przewalski's Horse), and could also be related to the Tarpan. The Fjord is one of the very few modern breeds to exhibit primitive colors and markings.

The Original Ironman--To determine its three fastest horses, an annual 18-mile Mongolian race galloped horses towards the finish line with jockeys only five to eight-years old in the irons.

The stock that resulted was believed to be a product of many combinations of Mongolian horse, Turkmene and Tarpan. Since the 80s the number of horses in Albania has increased greatly.

They are believed to be descended from either the plateau horses of Central Asia or the Mongolian horses of the grasslands.
