The Morab is a horse that appears powerful, muscular and displays athleticism with grace and distinct refinement. They have good saddle conformation and are compact, smooth and stylish. They reach maturity at 5 - 7 years.

This breed developed around the early 1800s and is based on a cross between a Morgan and an Arabian, as the breed name suggests, although it is likely that there were early influences of American Quarter Horse, too.

The Morab stands between 14.2 and 15.2 hands tall, and has a weight between 900 to 1200 lbs. They have a strong, muscular appearance.

Over the years, the Morab has mainly been used to improve other breeds rather than developed for its own merits. This has been changing in recent years, as breeders are seeing the beauty and good action of the horse.

Morabs have good saddle conformation and are compact, medium length, well muscled, smooth and stylish. Morabs have dense bone with sufficient substance, well-developed joints and tendons, and a fine, silky coat.
