Standing up to 14 hands high, the American Walking pony is a relatively large pony-type. It has a clean, smallish head on a well arched and muscled neck. The shoulder is slightly sloped, the hips are well muscled and the back is relatively short.

Understanding Monday Morning Disease in Horses
What became known as Monday morning disease is a condition that was first associated with work horses that enjoyed a day of rest and a regular grain ration on Sundays.
