Beveled
An angled part or surface, usually an angle other than a right angle.

Beveled: Any surface that is cut at an angle less than 90 degrees.
Bezel: Although it is now often used to refer to the entire ring setting, the bezel is more accurately the term for the metal case which the gem is set into.

A beveled surface (usually a beveled edge) is cut at an angle less than 90 degrees. Watch bezels are commonly beveled around their edges, as are mirrors.

Bevelled - Beveled refers to a surface cut at an angle that is less than 90 degrees. Watch bezels are commonly bevelled.

They are usually produced with a slightly beveled bottom edge which makes for easier and more secure setting in jewelry. Sizes range from tiny accent gems to large pieces appropriate for use as belt buckles or in bola ties.

Beveled corners protect the stone against damage during the setting process. Enamel is pulverized glass that has been melted at a high temperature so that it fuses onto a metal substrate.

This cut is mostly square and rectangular in nature and the beveled edges in this cut not only enhance the beauty of the emerald but also protect the gem. This does not mean that the emerald is cut only in this shape.

Michael is using a "seating bur" to give a beveled edge to the hole to allow for free movement of the link within the hole, and allow free movement of the bangle.

Vintage Ascher cut diamonds are usually octagonal in shape or a square with beveled corners. They have a deep step cut crown and pavilion that create what we call the Hall of Mirrors effect.

Emerald-Cut
A type of cut in which the stone is rectangular or square with beveled corners and a step cut.

one side of the cut to be flush (or flat) and the other side of the cut to be sharp (pointed). A conventional cutter will cut the wire leaving both sides semi-sharp. One side of the jaws on a flush cutter is flat, the opposite side is beveled.
