Bouton Pearl is another name for a blister pearl, which is formed on the shell of an oyster and has an unusual shape.

A bouton pearl (also called a blister pearl) is a pearl that developed attached to the inside of the mollusk's shell. This type of pearl must be cut off the shell, and is therefore hemispherical (half a sphere).
