Brecciated Jasper
The name jasper comes from the Greek for "spotted stone. Jasper comes in so many unique forms , we have only listed a few here.
Many are named from their locations.
Brecciated Jasper Lepardskin Jasper Dalmatian Jasper
Dalmatian Jasper (aka. Dalmatiner- the German word for Dalmatian) - an off white jasper with scattered black spots. It is said to give protection from ones nightmares and increases ones' patience.
Poppy Jasper (-049)
aka Brecciated Jasper, Poppy Seed Jasper
A red, pink and black gemstone, poppy jasper is so named because it looks like a bunch of pink and red poppies. It is said to bring attunement to animals and heal animal allergies.
Morgan Hill Poppy Jasper is a famous, but increasingly rare orbicular jasper with red and yellow dots of "poppy flowers". It is a brecciated jasper, meaning it probably came from sun-dried and oxidized iron-rich clay.
