The term "canary" is used to denote intense fancy yellow coloured diamonds. These are rare and beautiful.
We have recently purchased a small number of fancy yellow coloured diamonds, as shown on our photograph.
The Kahn Canary is very rare in comparison to other diamonds. Because of its flawless condition, fairly bright surface and pleasing natural triangular pillow shape (a macle crystal), the it has remained uncut.

Fancy Yellow Diamonds (Canary Yellow)
Fancy yellow diamonds owe their color the presence of nitrogen impurities which absorb the blue end of the color spectrum.
Ranging from pleasing pastel daisies to intensely beautiful canary yellows, yellow sapphires are renowned for their amazing luster and brilliance. Yellow sapphires are not just beautiful, but are also one of the most coveted of all yellow gemstones.
Very light canary to an ultra golden color tone show the wide range that fall under the classification of Yellow Sapphire.
These are inferior gem-quality stones and should not be confused with canary or other colored diamonds. Colored diamonds are graded differently than white diamonds and are also highly prized among collectors.

Yellow zircon includes the color range from pale to canary yellow, greenish yellow, and gold. It exhibits properties normal for zircon, but it can be confused with yellow sapphire.
