Carbonic acid (ancient name acid of air or aerial acid) has the formula H2CO3. It is also a name sometimes given to solutions of carbon dioxide in water, which contain small amounts of H2CO3.

 


Carbonado
Carbonado is imperfectly crystallised diamond, usually black or grey, it is usually ground or crushed to use as abrasive or other industrial diamond use.

Carbonado is characterized as a natural polycrystalline diamond that has its origin in the alluvial deposits in the Central African Republic and Brazil. This diamond appears black and is highly permeable and is used for diamond maneuvers.

CALCIUM CARBONATE:
The main mineral component of a pearl's nacre, or outer layer. It is composed mostly of calcite and aragonite.

Now this may be surprising, but not all Black Carbon Spots show up in an I Clarity Diamond. Sometimes you'll be able to see them in an SI Clarity (SI1 Clarity or SI2 Clarity) Diamond as well.

Carbonatite is a unique type of intrusive igneous deposit which is rich in calcium carbonate (calcite, CaCO3) and minerals of the carbonate class.

CARBONADO
A carbonardo is a rare type of opaque black diamond; they are not used for jewels, but for items like drilling bits and abrasive wheels.

Carbon Spot
This is a false and misleading term. Correctly, a dark-appearing inclusion, is generally not uncrystallized carbon. Diamond is 99.95% pure carbon. Over 25 mineral inclusions have been found inside diamonds.

Carbon Spots: An inaccurate term used by some people in the jewelry industry to describe the appearance of certain inclusions in a diamond.

CARBON SPOTS
Since diamonds are made up of highly compressed carbon, black carbon clusters can often be found. These spots are also called inclusions.

CARBON A Diamond is composed of pure Carbon. Carbon, when subjected to tremendous amounts of heat and pressure, crystallizes. Many Diamonds do not completely crystallize.

The calcium carbonate in pearls dissolves in human sweat or oil from the skin, and this will diminish the pearls' luster.
