Chrysolite is a golden yellow version of peridot whose name means 'golden stone' in Greek language. Peridot should be kept away from drastic temperature fluctuations and should never be cleaned with any sort of ultrasonic cleanser.

Prehnite (French: Chrysolite du Cap, German: Adilit, Aedelit) is a relatively rare Calcium Aluminum Silicate Hydroxide mineral that was named after Dutch Colonel Hendrik von Prehn (1733-1785), when it was discovered in 1788.

It is also known as chrysolite from the ancients "chrysolithos", meaning "golden stone". It has an oily look which looks something like olive oil. Good crystals are more valuable than cut stones, so are usually purchased by mineral collectors.
