The Clarity of the diamond will always depends upon the number of scratches and flaws on that particular diamond.

Clarity
Diamonds are extracted from the crust of the earth and they naturally occur with flaws. Diamond clarity refers to the quality of diamonds relating to the existence of internal flaws called inclusions, or external flaws called blemishes.

'Clarity' refers to the quality of the diamond, most particularly its flaw classification and it mostly affects the market value of the diamond.

Clarity is one of the two best-known factors in diamond pricing, along with color. While the color does affect a diamond's appearance, obvious inclusions (often called "flaws") may distract your recipient's eye from a stone's overall beauty.

The clarity criteria
Clarity is the purity of the diamond. Almost all diamonds naturally will have some very minute inclusions or grain trapped inside or blemishes on the surface, all these factors effect the clarity of the diamond.

Which Clarity Grade Should I Choose?
While Flawless diamonds are the rarest, a diamond does not have to be flawless to be stunning.

Diamond Clarity: All natural stones possess imperfections in the form of inclusions. Inclusions may take the form of dark specks, light-colored planes called "feathers", voids, general cloudiness, and other types of imperfections.
