Cognac must be one of the most abused words when it comes to describing the colour of diamonds, second only to champagne. We have seen many yellow or brown tinged stones described as cognac diamonds.

This unique color is actually very attractive and in demand. Reddish brown or reddish orange colored sapphires are found mostly in Tanzania and Madagascar. These stones look best in a medium darker tone.
