Let's discuss CRYSTAL FORMS and the 32 SYMMETRY CLASSES! Again we must begin with some definitions. Unfortunately, the term "form" is loosely used by many people to indicate outward appearance.
Natural crystal faces
Small unworked surfaces of the rough diamond are termed natural crystal faces (naturals); they occur in cut diamonds mostly beneath the girdle, occasionally also on the point.
CRYSTAL:
A tiny bit of mineral, diamond, or other matter, that is found inside a diamond. It can vary in size, shape, and color. The presence of a single crystal can make the difference between an IF and a VS1 grade.

For the manufacture of spheres, the pieces of rock crystal used should be flawless, but some people do prefer pieces with inclusions for their «natural» look.
