Included Crystal inclusions are whole crystals or tiny included gem fragments of undigested crystals such as garnet, diopside, olivine, spinel, calcite, iron oxides, silica or other gem stone inclusions.
Massively Crystalline - Irregular form, showing crystal or cleavage faces, but with no euhedral crystals.
Matrix - The rock or mineral surrounding a particular crystal or group of crystals.
And of course there are the well known beryl crystals from the Bumpus Quarry, Albany, Maine. As I recall, the largest crystal was 18 feet long.
Highly refined bismuth forms these interesting "hopper" crystals when grown under laboratory conditions. The colors are formed by a thin oxidation layer.
