Filigree Enamel: A type of decoration similar to cloisonné enameling but having the cloisons made of twisted wire, (rather than flat strips of metal), soldered to the base and filled in with opaque enamel.
A variation of filigree enamel in which the design is made on small plaques which are attached to the article to be decorated. The designs have mainly floral motifs.
