Geometric Style: A decorative style for jewellery developed in 1920s to 1930s in which the form is in abstract geometric shapes, produced with great precision. A hallmark of the Art Deco style.

 


The geometric style that succeeded Edwardian jewelry beginning in the teens, and reaching full flower in the mid 1920's. This style was characterized by zigzags and sharp angles rather than the curves of the previous era.

Also known as the geometric style that succeeded Edwardian jewelry beginning in the 1910s through the mid-1920'sColored stones were utilized more, and the opaque stones such as jade, onyx and coral were set in geometric shapes.

Geometric Style: A style of jewelry design that reached its zenith in the 1920s-1930s. Art Deco as it is sometimes referred to utilized abstract designs with geometric shapes and brilliant color contrasts.

Traditional styles apart, some followed the clean geometric styles of the period, some had boldly coloured figurative designs or floral patterns, while some mixed the two.
